BrainsMingle
Knowledge Base & Guest View
Two platform projects I owned end to end as Head of Product Marketing at BrainsMingle, a video-first professional network. For each, I shaped the strategy and information architecture, wrote the content, designed the pages, built them in code and delivered them to the tech team ready to deploy.
End-to-end ownership
From strategy to deployable pages
Both projects ran as one continuous workstream, from the first brief to deployable pages. Keeping strategy, content, design and build in one pair of hands gave every page one voice, and let the tech team deploy without rework.
- 01
Strategy
Objectives, audiences and the role each page plays in the user journey.
- 02
Architecture
Categories, page hierarchy, navigation and search, mapped to how people use the product.
- 03
Content
Every article and every line of copy, written around what the user wants to do.
- 04
Design
Layouts, components and visual system, in the BrainsMingle brand.
- 05
Build & handover
Coded and tested the pages, then delivered them to the tech team ready to deploy.
Project 01
The knowledge base
The objective
Make BrainsMingle self-serve. Members should be able to run sessions, communities, courses and payments on their own, and organizations’ admins should be able to manage their platform without depending on the support or tech teams.

The strategy
Two audiences, two libraries
A public Help Centre for members and creators, and a separate Suite Admin documentation for organizations running their own branded platform.
Organized around the product
Categories mirror what people actually do on BrainsMingle: Getting Started, Communities, Live Sessions, Speed Networking, Consultation Services, Courses & LMS, Forms & Registration and Payments.
Task-first writing
Every article answers one job, such as “Host a webinar” or “Connect Stripe and receive payouts”, step by step and in plain language.
Earning features in full
Payments, paid sessions, paid memberships, earnings and coupons documented completely, so members can earn on the platform without help.
Built to grow
One article template and a searchable structure, so every new feature can be documented without redesigning the library.
What I delivered
The full Help Centre and the Suite Admin documentation: architecture, every article, page design and the coded pages, handed to the tech team ready to deploy.
Project 02
The guest view: a full public website
The objective
Give BrainsMingle a public front door that sells the whole platform. Visitors needed to understand in seconds what BrainsMingle is, who it is for and why it is different, then find the page that speaks to them and take the right next step: sign up as an individual, or book a Suite demo for their organization.
The strategy
A site built like a product
Three layers: the product (10 feature pages and a capabilities overview), the audiences (6 pages for experts, creators, professionals, communities, organizers and programs) and BrainsMingle Suite for organizations (8 sector pages for accelerators, universities, academies, workplaces, studios, conferences, foundations and networks).
Lead with one promise
“Where professionals meet, learn, and earn.” The whole product in one line, before any feature list.
Segment at the door
Two ways in: “I’m here for myself” for professionals, experts, creators and learners, and “I’m here for my organization” for accelerators, universities, academies, communities and event teams, leading to BrainsMingle Suite.
Show, don’t list
A live product preview in the hero and a capability strip: consultations, communities, Speed Networking, courses, events, forms, payments and live sessions.
Proof from the platform
Featured experts and featured communities already active on BrainsMingle, so visitors see real people before they sign up.
Own the differentiator
Speed Networking presented as the feature found only on BrainsMingle: timed one-to-one introductions, matched by what people do and need.
Inside the website
Every page below was planned, written, designed and built as part of the guest website, each with its own message for its own reader.
